The Rules of the Funky Individual Leagues
Format and Scoring
~ The groups will be an extended super league format consisting of 4 frames of 8us, 9us and 8uk.
~ Players receive 2 points for winning a fixture, 1 point for drawing and 0 for a loss.
Fixture deadlines
~ Players must have met a certain amount of games played before the deadlines in a season. Should this amount of games not be met before a deadline, the player will receive a strike for every game that the player is under the required amount of games completed.
Season one deadlines & game requirements:
~ 26th March = 2 matches completed
~ 2nd April = 5 matches completed
~ 9th April = 8 matches completed (all games complete)
Ensuring reliability
~ The leagues will implement a three strikes policy.
~ Players will receive strikes for every game short they are of the required amount of games completed by the deadlines during a season (see fixture deadlines for more info).
~ An example of this is, should a player have only completed 3 games by the second deadline, and this second deadline requires 5 games have been completed, the player will receive two strikes.
~ Each strike will last for the duration of the current season and for the duration of the following season as well.
~ Should a player reach three strikes, they will be removed from the league, with all their games from that season being removed. (With common sense prevailing should it be the final week of the season).
Defaults
~ All defaults are classed as un-played games that remain at the end of the season.
~ All defaults will be decided by the league runner and two other fpool members.
~ Unless it is proven that only one player is to blame, both players will receive a strike for the default.
~ Should it be unanimously agreed by all three default panelists that one player is to blame, up to 2 points will be awarded to the player whom is judged to have made an effort (this however will go on the majority recommended by the three default panellists).
~ Points will be deducted for anybody who has been found to be abusing this system.
Season turnarounds
~ There will be no more than 6 weeks in total between the starting of one season to the start of the next season (should popularity demand another).
Should any of these rules be in doubt, the league runner's decision is final at all times.
